Entrenched patterns of relating in a partnership often lead to one or both partners feeling misunderstood, leaving them unable to talk to each other. The anger, frustration and sometimes violent miscommunication can make development as a couple difficult or impossible.
Couples counselling supports each partner in the recognition and constructive expression of their individual needs and desires. Communication and exchange is facilitated and exercised within a therapeutic environment and impartial attention of the therapist.
This form of therapeutic work offers the opportunity to experience and express oneself in relationship to others. The development of each individual in the network is facilitated and promoted through insights gained into self and others.
